NHS practice
The Bristol Eye Hospital is one of the pre-eminent institutions for
eye surgery in the United Kingdom, acting as the referral centre for the
south west of the country. Established in 1815, it has a staff of 14
Consultant Ophthalmologists including a Professor and Senior Lecturer,
who together cover the whole range of sub-specialities within ophthalmic
practice.
My role is primarily to look after glaucoma (including complex and
paediatric surgical glaucoma) and 'high-volume' cataract surgery. I also
undertake outpatient clinics at Frenchay Hospital.
